This week’s exclusive Valhalla video Q&A is with Elisa Richards, Key Costumer for “The Walking Dead.”
This is Elisa R. Richards’ second season as a key costumer on “The Walking Dead.”
Richards has been involved with costuming since the age of 15. She earned her B.F.A. from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in design and production, costume design.
After graduation, Richards served as a shopper, costumer, and assistant for several opera companies including such notable theatres as the Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera. Additionally, Richards worked in the wardrobe department for Broadway’s “Mary Poppins.” While in New York, she also designed numerous theatrical productions, including a production of “Carmen”.
In the film industry, Richards served as shopper, costumer, and key costumer for AMC, MTV, NBC, USA, Sony, Cartoon Network and Tyler Perry Productions. Most recently she was an ager on the upcoming feature “Lawless”. Her goal is to continue her passion for design – costuming for film and television and creating her own clothing label.
